Milk Pricing

Pricing Structure

A flat milk price (i.e. the same milk price every month of the year - no discounting of spring milk).

1:1 price for butterfat and protein.

No volume charge.

All step-ups to be paid across all milk supplied in that season.

No average weighted milk price- the price we announce is the price you receive.

Pricing Equality

All farmers to receive the same price regardless of size (no productivity or special deals).

Payment Transparency

All milk payments to be transparent with the ability to benchmark against commodity returns.

*Statement of circumstances in which SWDL will enter into a published Milk Supply Agreement:

  • The Farmer meets the requirements set out in our Milk Supply Policy;
  • The Farmer is a shareholder of SWDL (or agrees to become a shareholder of SWDL);
  • The Farmer is located in one of SWDL's milk collection regions (which currently covers Western Victoria);
  • The farmer holds a current food safety licence from the relevant state regulatory authority
  • The farmer has a collection point that a milk tanker can safely access to collect milk
  • the farmer is capable of supplying at least 400 litres of milk per collection; and
  • If SWDL has the capacity to accept the Farmer's milk based on the current needs of SWDL's customer base.
